May 12, 2017 – Twin Ridge

Work has started in earnest at Twin Ridge Elementary School on the updating of the existing building mechanical systems. With the building heating season over, the existing boilers have been shut down and removed from the building and the new boilers are currently being installed. The new boiler systems will take up less than half of the area of the existing boiler systems and will also provide a much higher efficiency to reduce energy consumption!

 

May 12, 2017 – Bellevue West

Work is continuing on the field replacement. Tear-off of the old field was completed on 5/6 and installation of the new turf has started and it moving quickly! The field installation is scheduled to be completed by June 1st, 2017.

 

May 8, 2017 – Bellevue East

On Monday May 8th, the Bellevue School Board approved the request to solicit a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Mechanical-Electrical Engineering Services for the proposed building renovations scheduled for Bellevue East High School. It is the intent to select a mechanical/electrical engineer firm to assist the District in analyzing the existing building heating and cooling systems and to come up with a plan to update the systems. It is anticipated that an engineering firm will be selected and recommended for approval at the July Bellevue School Board meeting.

May 8, 2017 – Bellevue West

On Monday, May 8th, the Bellevue School Board approved the request to proceed with obtaining bids on replacement of portions of the existing roof system at Bellevue West. A study is being completed on the roofing systems on all buildings within the Bellevue School District and the roof areas being looked at on the building are some of the roofs identified in the study as high priority in terms of replacement. This portion of the roof replacement will be the first phase of a long-term roof maintenance program that will be started at the building. It is anticipated that work on the roofs will begin in July and will continue into the fall.
