June 13, 2017 – Bertha Barber Elementary
Work is full swing for the work scheduled for the renovation work included in the life safety /mechanical update project that is occurring at Bertha Barber. Demolition work is ongoing on various mechanical and building components to prepare for new planned work. Most of the new mechanical equipment is scheduled to arrive on-site by the end of June and installation work being completed in July. Work on this project is on schedule for substantial completion the first week of August. Look for further updates as work progresses through the summer months.
June 13, 2017 – Bellevue East
Qualification statements from prospective Mechanical-Electrical engineering firms have been received for the upcoming planned HVAC renovation work at Bellevue East. A selection committee has reviewed all of the submittals and has compiled a short-list of five firms that have been scheduled for interviews, which will be held on June 28th. A recommendation is anticipated to be made to the Bellevue School board for the July 10th Board meeting to officially bring a selected M/E firm on board to begin preliminary mechanical designs for the planned building upgrades.
June 13, 2017 – Bellevue East
Field Replacement Work
Work is in full swing on the replacement of the existing football field at East. The tear-off of the existing field has been completed and the first sections of new turf have been laid!! The new turf installation is scheduled to be completed by July 14th, 2017 to allow for the start of band and football camps (weather dependent).
June 13, 2017 – Bellevue West
Field Replacement Work
Work has been completed on the field replacement at Bellevue West and is back in action being used for summer football camps, soccer, track and shortly, band practice. Minor cleanup will still be completed in June, but the field looks great and all participants should enjoy the new field conditions!!!
Roof Projects
Plans are also out for the first round of roof replacement work that will be occurring at West High over the next several years. Bids for the planned roofing work will be submitted on June 22nd with anticipated Board approval on July 10th. It is anticipated that the roofing work will be completed by the end of September.
