The meeting began at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Pay Requests – At this time there will not be any pay requests submitted for the March 8th Board of
Education meeting.
Mr. Gladbach reported he continues to wait for the final pay requests from Ray Martin Co.
Bellevue West Gym HVAC Project – Mr. Gladbach reported after discussions with Ray Martin Co. the
equipment for the Bellevue West rooftop units will be arriving earlier than anticipated. On March 2nd, Mr.
Gladbach will meet with building administration and the contractor to coordinate the project with activities
taking place. The installation for the new units is scheduled during Spring break March 15th – 19th, with the
majority of the work being completed by the first week in April.
Bellevue West Auditorium – An update on the auditorium project at Bellevue West was provided.
Discussions continue with district administration, building administration/staff on the preliminary plans for
the auditorium. The district has narrowed down the project to one master plan, with bid alternates that
could be part of the scope of the project depending on budget costs. Additional information will be shared
with the Committee as they become available. Mr. Gladbach will present the preliminary plans at the March
8th Board meeting and ask for approval to create the RFP and solicit bids for the auditorium project. The
anticipated start of the work is May, 2021 with completion taking approximately a year.
2021 Roof Projects –
Bellevue West – At the February 8th Board meeting the Board approved the bid from Bradco Company in
the amount of $678,000 for the partial roof replacement at Bellevue West. There were a total of 8 bids
received with Bradco Company being the lowest.
Bellevue East – On February 9th the district received eight bids for the partial roof replacement at Bellevue
East. The low bid was from Stonebrook Exteriors in the amount of $392,555. The bid will be presented at
the March 8th Board meeting for approval.
CHAP – On February 17th the district received four bids for the partial roof replacement at CHAP. The
low bid was from Mejia Roofing in the amount of $119,999.50. The bid will be presented at the March 8th
Board meeting for approval.
Mission – On March 18th the district received six bids for the partial roof replacement at Mission. The low
bid was from Crawford Roofing in the amount of $449,500. The bid will be presented at the March 8th
Board meeting for approval.
CHAP HVAC – Mr. Gladbach shared bids will be received on February 25th for the replacement of the
HVAC system at CHAP to a VRF system. The bid will then be shared with the Bond Oversight Committee
for review prior to presenting to the Board for approval at the March 8th Board meeting.
CTE Building – The district continues to have discussion on the possible start of phase 2 of the CTE
building remodel and programs that would begin for the 2021 school year. The district has decided to
modify a portion of the office space into classrooms temporarily to support those programs. Once bids are
received back from the Bellevue West auditorium project, this will give the district an idea of how much
funding will then be available to finalize phase 2.
Safety/Security – There were not any updates for Technology.
Transportation – There were not any updates for Transportation.
The Committee adjourned the meeting at 6:16 p.m. The next meeting is March 18th at 5:30 p.m. and will be
held via Zoom.
