The meeting began at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Pay Requests – The following pay request will be submitted for approval at the July 11th Board
of Education meeting.
- Fairview Elementary (Electric Company of Omaha) $96,642.72
- Bellevue East (Mejia Roofing Co.) $280,391.34
Bellevue West Auditorium HVAC – Mr. Gladbach shared after speaking with the supplier, due
to continued supply chain issues throughout the country, the equipment won’t arrive until possibly
late September, 2022. Mr. Gladbach is working with the Bellevue West administration on
scheduling and phasing in the project with little impact to students. Ray Martin has begun prep
work for the project, along with installing the gas piping that will be completed by the end of the
summer.
2021 Roof Projects –
Mission – Crawford Roofing continues work on the roof project at Mission. Mr. Gladbach met
with the project manager, which explained there have been issues with the roof insulation and they
are working with the roofing manufacture to resolve these issues. The contractor has a large portion
of the roof replacement completed, but continue to wait for materials to fix the areas of concern.
The anticipated completion is possibly 30-45 days, but will be determined upon arrival of
materials.
Bellevue East – Mejia Roofing Co. received all the roofing materials prior to the start of the
roofing project at Bellevue East that began June 1st. The area on the 3-story wing has been
completed expect for the metal edging. The contractor continues to work on the other replacement
areas and anticipates the project to be completed prior to the start of the 2022-23 school year.
Frank Kumor Career Center – Mr. Gladbach continues to work with the project manager and
administration on the design for the front entry and interior image of the Frank Kumor Career
Center.
Fairview – At the April 11th Board meeting, the Board approved the bid from Electric Company
of Omaha in the amount of $363,350 for the replacement of the fire alarm and P/A system at
Fairview. Mr. Gladbach shared the work continues on the replacement of the system. Currently
there has not been any issues with receiving materials for the project. The system is anticipated to
be completed prior to the start of the 2022-23 school year.
Also, at the April 11th Board meeting, the Board approved the bid from Ray Martin Company in
the amount of $235,000 for the replacement of the boiler at Fairview. Mr. Gladbach reported the
materials have been ordered an are anticipated to arrive by the end of the summer. The boiler
doesn’t need to be operational until October, 2022.
Safety/Security – Mr. Gladbach reported discussions will begin on the replacement of the
Life/Safety system at Mission in the Spring, 2023.
Technology – There were not any updates on technology.
Transportation – There were not any updates for Transportation.
The Committee adjourned the meeting at 5:45 p.m. The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for
July 20, 2022. Mr. Gladbach will provide an updated expenditure report to the Oversight
Committee.
